As the only female on the Django Unchained publicity tour of Europe, Kerry Washington doesn't need to try too hard to stand out from the crowd.

However, at the Rome photocall for the film on Thursday, the stunning actress went the extra mile in a very quirky dress.

The 35-year-old showed off a hint of flesh in the cut-out top of the fitted black, white and blue Peter Pilotto dress, which features a ruffled lime green peplum detail around the waist and the hemline.
With such a unique dress, she opted for toned down accessories with blue high heels and grey eyeliner as she joined her co-stars at the Hassler Hotel.
Also in attendance was the film's director Quentin Tarantino and her co-stars Samuel L. Jackson, Christoph Waltz, Franco Nero and Jamie Foxx.

Following her arrival in Rome on Thursday night, Kerry tweeted: 'BUONGIORNO!!!!! Just landed! First stop...'
Rome is the first city in the Django Unchained publicity tour, which also features the UK premiere in London next Thursday.
Ahead of arriving in Europe, Kerry tweeted: 'Sitting at the airport.  'In next 10 days I'll be Rome Paris Berlin & London. Any suggestions 4 where 2 get healthy fresh vegetable juices & smoothies?'
Django Unchained sees Foxx as a slave Django Freeman, who fights for his freedom and to also be reunited with his wife Broomhilda (Kerry), who was sold to brutal plantation owner Calvin J Candie (Leonardo DiCaprio).
The long eight-month shoot was a harrowing experience for Kerry, who admitted she broke her 'no visitors' rule on film sets by flying in her family and therapist to visit her on location.
She told the Daily Beast: 'I needed all their support for this film because it was so mentally hard in many ways.
'It’s so unthinkable that my ancestors endured all the torture and pain. I saw things in the script and thought this never happened. But then I talked to Quentin and he showed us the history books that illustrated the masks and other items used to inflict torture and violence on the slaves. It really blew my mind and made me appreciate even more what my ancestors made it through.

'I barely made it through pretending.'
