Karrueche Tran willing to meet with Rihanna

Karrueche Tran spoke with Vibe about her relationship with Chris Brown and whether or not she's willing to sit down with Rihanna...

If you could sit down with Chris and Rihanna, what would you want to get off your chest?

"For everybody, emotionally, that would just be way too much. I’m a very mature person so if the time ever did come where we would need to sit down and talk, I’d do it. I’m a mature person. I can work it out but that would be a lot. (Pause) Yeah, it would be a lot."
How hard is it to work with Chris with everything that’s going on?
At the end of the day, he will always be a friend. We’ll always care about each other. We won’t allow that to interfere. Our business is business.
Do you think you’ve found the person you could spend the rest of your life with?
I do care about him and I do love him. Family is very important to me, and I’ve always put it in my mind to remember that. For me, I’d love to meet somebody and grow and build a foundation, but I don’t want to even think about marriage right now. I can’t even get a clothing line out. (laughs)

Tap open Instagram and there goes another photo of Chris Brown and Rihanna posting flicks together. Whether it's snoozing in Bart Simpson paraphernalia or getting baked half-naked, the two lovers who sang "Nobody's Business" spotlight their own romance better than the paparazzi.
The entire plot of their four year saga plays like a Shawty Lo reality show: too raw and uncut to turn off. Pan to the sideline though and you'll find the unsuspecting victim: Karrueche Tran. The 5'1'' biracial fashionista has become a crucial cast member of the Chrianna soap opera. Yet, she's actually a private girl caught in a very public situation. But before you peg her as a damsel in distress, the last thing she wants is your pity. In an exclusive interview with VIBE, Karrueche recalls how she and Chris met, how her clothing "The Kill" made him her business partner and how she feels about her love life now.
VIBE: How did you come up with the concepts for your clothing line?
Karrueche Tran: Chris [Brown] wanted to do a female line for his men’s line ["Black Pyramid"]. So he asked me to take over and "The Kill" was gonna be a women’s only line but it’s actually unisex.
How long have you two been planning this?
It’s been a few months. When I first started, I pretty much thought of the name. Then from there, we started making very basic sample t-shirts, hats, beanies and socks. That’s what a lot of people saw online and on Instagram. They saw certain people wearing it, so it created this really big buzz in our very first stages. We got a little bit ahead of ourselves and we wanted to do this really awesome launch on 12/12/12, but we kinda had to slow it down ‘cause things weren’t 100% completely done. That’s why we waited.
How is the name “The Kill” representative of your life?
I was at home one day and this song “In For The Kill” by La Roux was stuck in my head, so “The Kill” stuck out to me.
Christina Milian and Chris have been seen wearing it. What kind of aesthetic are you trying to accomplish with the line?
Honestly, I’m not trying to pinpoint one group. When they see the line, I want people to feel like they can at least relate to it through one piece. It also depends on whether you’re into streetwear or high fashion.
When people first started hearing about you, you were labeled as "an aspiring model." Are you still doing that now?
I never was an official model. I always tell people I’m not a model but I’ve done modeling. Now I’m signed with a commercial agency, so hopefully that is going to pick up but before I was just doing favors for friends who needed somebody for their lookbook.
When you took over Chris’ women's line, was that how you guys met?
Definitely not. Him asking me to do the line was recent. We met a couple years ago.
Were you styling him at the time?
I actually happened to do a random styling job out here in L.A. and that’s how we met.
Did you anticipate that your relationship would blow up into what it is now?
I didn’t expect it at all. We were friends for a while before we started dating.
Since Chris has his own lines, what advice has he given you in terms of being the creative director for "The Kill?"
(Laughs) He hasn’t really given me advice. He completely trusts me with this line. He’s seen my designs and he loves everything so far. He definitely has my back and pushes us forward as well.
Like I mentioned before, Christina Milian has also been rocking your line. You guys seem like besties. How did you two become friends?
We crossed paths tons of times and then one time, she was just like, “Hey, how are you? Let’s exchange numbers." Ever since then, we’ve been the best of friends. We’re just really cool. We don’t even talk about any craziness. We just have fun, have a glass of wine, and watch a movie.
Someone you’ve definitely been seen getting close to is Teyana Taylor.
(Karrueche bursts into laughter.)
Is she going to be potentially modeling "The Kill" as well?
Maybe, who knows? Teyana’s a really good friend of mine and she actually has a shoe coming out as well, so we might put something together.
Sidebar: how the heck did that New Year’s Eve kiss happen?
(Big laughs) Well, we counted down and I turned to her, said “Happy New Year” and gave her a kiss!
Good thing, too, ‘cause it went on Instagram like five times.
Yeah, it posted like five times 'cause it was at midnight and everyone was trying to tweet and Instagram at the same time so it was frozen. For some reason, I can’t delete ‘em. So I just left it there. (Laughs) Oh well. That explains our night.
It seems like you keep a really tight-knit group in your personal life. How has having that support group helped you deal with everything going on in your personal life, especially since Christina has sort of gone through a similar situation as well?
I keep it very small. I don’t really go around and tell my friends my business. I’m very personal. When I hang out with Christina, we don’t get into too much. We just kinda forget about all those negative things or whatever’s going on and just relax and have a good time. I really, really don’t tell my business when it comes to a lot, even though my business is public. The things I personally go through within myself, I tend to keep to myself. It just creates more of a drama.
But still you have thousands of followers on Twitter and Instagram. How do you think people view you?
A lot of people are like, “Don’t go on your Twitter, don’t read the blogs.” I do read my Twitter a lot and I get a mixture of the positive people who are like, “I understand, I’ve been there before, stay strong,” and then there’s the negative people who are just always negative for no reason.
How do you feel about it? Are you happy with your love life at the current moment?
I mean at the time, but right now of course not. It’s a lot going on but it could be a lot worse. And that’s how I look at life. I take it for what it is. I move forward, grow from it and at this point, that’s what I’m doing. I’m not gonna sit and dwell and become consumed in that negativity because I could very much be that person, especially when things are so public and so thrown in my face. But like I said, things can be much worse. So I’m good.
Everything just gets misunderstood.
Exactly.
(laughs)
It’s more like, "Let me get my shit together first."
Yeah, and I want to focus and just work on the line and just...kill it.
I could tell you deal well with a lot of pain because of all your tattoos. Describe all the ones you have and what they mean.
My first tattoo is in Arabic. It goes down my spine and it says ‘an ounce of blood is worth more than a pound of friendship.’ Now on my side, I have a Spanish proverb and it says, ‘A beautiful life does not just happen, it is built daily by prayer, sacrifice, humility and love. May that beautiful life be yours always.’
Wow. Where did you get that from?
I honestly just found it. I came across it and said that’s beautiful. I was going through my little tattoo phase so I got that, and I have the big ol’ zipper going down my leg.
You know there were leggings that were made so girls could have that without going through the needle and ink.
Haha, yeah I’ve seen those.
Chris is a trendsetter himself. Did you guys bond over fashion when you met?
Yeah, his style is him. It’s not other people throwing clothes on him. He definitely wears what he wants to wear and wears what he likes.
So when you style him, it’s the easiest gig in the world.
I haven’t done too many jobs but it’s pretty easy.
Do you think there’s ever gonna come a point where it’s just gonna be too hard to maintain a friendship with him?
I don’t know. I’m not sure. I’ve been on a rollercoaster for the past year so who knows?
If you could sit down with Chris and Rihanna in the same room, what would you want to get off your chest?
For everybody, emotionally, that would just be way too much. I’m a very mature person so if the time ever did come where we would need to sit down and talk, I’d do it. I’m a mature person. I can work it out but that would be a lot. (Pause) Yeah, it would be a lot.

Totally tattooed professor nicknamed Avatar is now THIRD in race to be Czech president Read moVladimir-Franz-Totally-tattooed-professor-THIRD-race-Czech-president.

With no political experience and little knowledge of economics, performing arts professor Vladimir Franz was already an unlikely candidate for the Czech Republic presidential election.
The fact that 90 per cent of his body is covered in tattoos makes it even more surprising that not only is he standing for election - he currently stands third in the polls.
One in nine voters are believed to be planning on backing the 53-year-old opera composer and painter in this weekend's presidential elections after a £15,000 election campaign that didn't even include posters.
He's tipped to win around 11 per cent in the first round of votes on Friday and Saturday, which is not enough to go through, but may make him kingmaker.
Leading candidates Jan Fischer and Milos Zeman, both former prime ministers, ought to be keen to benefit from his following if the vote goes to a second round. And Mr Franz, a Professor at Prague's Academy of Performing Arts, is not short of admirers.
In a country where voters are increasingly tired of corrupt politicians who, they say, fail to keep promises more than two decades after the fall of communism, Mr Franz's agenda of promoting human rights, democracy and green energy policies has made an impact.
‘The (political) system is so enchanted with itself that it has lost the ability to self-reflect,’ he said in an interview yesterday.
'Czechs are fed up with this c**p.’

Mr Franz says he only threw his hat in the ring after a group of admirers established the Franz for President initiative and begged him to shake up the race through his shock factor.

But he's stirred up such goodwill that a leading economist offered his services for free and his campaign workers are also volunteers.

He's only spent £15,575 ($25,000) from donations on his campaign and hasn't put up any posters.

Changes; Vladimir Franz says Czechs are fed up with the current political system

Franz burst onto the political scene with an eye-catching 88,000 signatures from the public at the end of 2012 - far more than the 50,000 required by law.

Not affiliated with any party, he has campaigned mostly on a platform highlighting graft, the importance of education and the nation's moral standing.

He's proven particularly popular with young voters - and those not yet eligible to cast a ballot.

In a mock presidential election at 441 high schools across the country a month before the vote, Franz won by a landslide, garnering more than 40 per cent of some 60,000 votes.

And, perhaps surprisingly, few take issue with his tattoos.

‘Personally, I wouldn't vote for him - but (the tattoos) are not a problem at all,’ said Tomas Pistora, a 33-year-old IT specialist from Prague. ‘The young people prefer him because they don't have a better choice.’

‘The tattoo doesn't make any difference,’ said Jakub Fisera, a student in Prague, adding a lack of experience in politics was more an issue.

For the first time, the Czech president will be elected in a popular vote - a new system that makes it possible for independent candidates like Franz to run for the largely ceremonial post.

Vaclav Klaus, the incumbent, opposed the change, calling it ‘a fatal mistake’ and said he feared the likes of Franz might succeed him.

A total of nine candidates are running. Unlike the Euro-skeptic Klaus who attacked the EU at every opportunity, the favorites, Zeman and Fischer, have a more moderate approach to the bloc which the country joined in 2004.

Zeman, the leftist premier in 1998-02, leads the polls with about 25 per cent support. Fischer, a centrist and a former state bureaucrat, gained significant popularity when he led a caretaker government in 2009-10. He polls at about 20 per cent.

As the campaign approached its end on Tuesday, eight candidates were busy drumming up votes. The ninth - Franz - had other matters to deal with: a final rehearsal of his opera, War With The Newts, at the State Opera.
Torn between art and politics, Franz cut short his appearance at an election debate to return to the opera house that is part of Prague's National Theater.
But he committed to staying to the end of Thursday's final televised debate. It wasn't an easy choice, but he realized his credibility demanded that he take part.
‘For a Czech composer to have a world premiere in the National Theater is something extraordinary. I had to make a choice between a service to the public and the fulfillment of my life-long dream. I've made the choice and will be at the debate.’

CRISTIANO RONALDO missed out on the Ballon d’Or — and received a SECOND snub of the night as Pep Guardiola refused to shake his hand

Real Madrid megastar Ronaldo lost out to Lionel Messi for a fourth consecutive year for the golden ball.
And the Portuguese forward’s night hit rock bottom when his hand was rejected by former Barcelona boss Guardiola.
Tensions between Real Madrid and Barcelona have always run high.
But the fall-out from the FIFA gala proved the hatred between the two La Liga giants is worse than ever before.
The breakdown of the Ballon d’Or voting revealed how Argentina captain Messi overlooked Ronaldo in his three picks for the top award.
He instead chose club team-mates Andres Iniesta and Xavi as well as countryman Sergio Aguero.
While Bruno Alves, who got a vote as the designated Portuguese captain, excluded Messi in his selection and opted for Ronaldo, Radamel Falcao and Robin van Persie.
Messi also refused to acknowledge the former Manchester United star in his acceptance speech but did have gushing words for the third-placed Iniesta.

Piers Morgan staying in America ‘on the President’s orders’

PIERS Morgan has vowed to carry on his fight to ban guns in America and has said he will remain in the country "on the President's orders".
A petition signed by 100,000 Americans called for the TV show host to be deported from the country.
The CNN presenter turned on gun lobbyists in the US following the shooting dead of 20 children at Sandy Hook school last month.
His calls for a ban were met with fierce opposition from pro-gun groups, including the launch of a “deport Piers Morgan” petition by American radio host Alex Jones, with whom Morgan had a heated on-air debate about the issue.

Speaking from New York on Daybreak, Morgan said the petition had been unsuccessful after being turned down by President Obama and he would remain in the country to carry on the battle.
He said: "The bottom line, and I know this will be very distressing to people in Britain, is that I'm going to be staying in America on the President’s orders."
Morgan has publicly called for assault rifles to be banned and called them "killing machines".
And he called gun-enthusiast Jones "bordering on insane" after they clashed on his CNN chat show.

"This whole logic of more guns, less crime is so deeply flawed and dangerous, it just has to change,” he said.
Asked if he felt fearful for the safety of his family in America, Morgan said he was worried his young daughter could be in danger if she goes to school in the country in a few years’ time.
“I’m already concerned about her safety in a country that has such lax gun control,” he said.
“The reason it has such lax gun control is that the National Rifle Association, the NRA and other gun rights people, is that they breed on fear and the reason they do that is because it guarantees more sales of ammunition and weapons,
"You’re living in a country now that is driven by these people into a sort of subconscious feeling that if you’re not armed, then there’s something wrong with you.”

ARSENAL will make a £26million offer to keep Theo Walcott

Chief executive Ivan Gazidis is ready to speak with the England star’s representatives — possibly in the next 48 hours — to end the contract deadlock.
Walcott, 23, who will see his current deal end this season, is set to be tempted with a £90,000-a-week salary over five years, bringing him level with top earners such as Lukas Podolski.
And he will also be offered a £3m signing-on fee to take the overall package to £26.4m.
Walcott and his team held unofficial talks with Gazidis early last month. But he has not had a concrete offer since the summer when he rejected £80,000 a week.
The player, who earns £50,000 a week, has seen his bargaining power increase due to recent goal-scoring displays in the new central striking role he craves.
He is also incredibly popular with the fans and is desperate to remain in north London.
Even though Chelsea and Manchester City want him, Walcott is desperate to commit his long-term future to the Emirates.
Arsenal, meanwhile, have been warned off a bid for Barcelona striker David Villa.
The Gunners are expected to strengthen their squad in the transfer window, having already offloaded Moroccan misfit Marouane Chamakh on a six-month loan deal to West Ham.
Boss Arsene Wenger is said to be keen on Spanish star Villa, 31, who was a sub in the 4-0 win over Espanyol at the weekend.
But Barca president Sandro Rosell, insists Villa, signed in a £31m deal from Valencia in 2010, is going nowhere.
He said: “I completely rule out his transfer during the winter market. He is ours and we need him.”
Arsenal are also reported to be keen on Atletico Madrid frontman Adrian Lopez.
While Wenger is claimed to be looking at Anderlecht’s Argentina ace Lucas Biglia to boost his midfield options.

The first storey building in Nigeria, which was built in 1845 in Badagry

Investigation carried out by the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Badagry reveals that the storey building is deteriorating and is in urgent need of repairs.

When the NAN correspondent in Badagry visited the storey building, the upper floor which is made of wood had holes in them and were shaking.

The staircase leading to the upper floor is rickety and one must be carefull while climbing the steps in order to ensure that the staircase does not collapse or fall.

The Bible store at the upper floor cannot be reached because the floor which is made of wood has been eaten by termites thereby making the wood fragile.

The building which is a major tourist site also has no electricity supply thereby making the building stuffy and uninhabitable.

An inside source revealed that the storey building had turned to a place where bats come to sleep. “The storey building lacks maintenance.

Its so bad that the building harbours bats.

“The part of the building where bats stays smells and these drives away tourist at times because the smell is very awful and dangerous to human health ” the source revealed.

Venerable dickson Ilegbusi, who is a priest at the Cathedral Church of Thomas, Badagry and also doubles as the curator to the first Storey Building noted that he was aware of the problems.

He promised that renovation would be carried out as soon as possible.

He said that the reason why renovation was being delayed was because the church did not want to temper with its originality.

“The Bishop is aware of these and renovation would be carried out as soon as possible.

“The reason why we have been delaying the renovation of the first storey building is because we do not want to tamper with its originality.

“Fumigation would be carried out soon in order to drive away the bats that reside in the building,” he said.
